What is the Java Warehouse?

The Java Warehouse is the central repository for Java and JavaFX applications. Java developers can submit their applications to the Java Warehouse, and have them distributed through the multiple storefronts that interface to the Java Warehouse, including the Java Store. The Java Warehouse manages developer registration, application submission, content management, provisioning, and settlement. The Java Warehouse Developer portal is now in Beta, and can be accessed at http://java.sun.com/warehouse/.

When will Non-U.S. developers be able to sell in the Java Store?

The Java Warehouse Developer Portal is available only in the United States and a selection of countries. Although the Java Warehouse has recently been opened to the submission of free applications from selected locations outside of the U.S., the Java Store is available to U.S. consumers only.

How do I get my application into the Java Store?

Developers can visit the Java Warehouse Developer portal to register and start submitting applications. Access to the Java Warehouse Developer Portal Beta is located at http://java.sun.com/warehouse/.

Will Java and Java FX applications in the Java Warehouse be available through through on-line stores other than the Java Store?

In the future, the Java Warehouse will support the aggregation and distribution of Java and JavaFX applications to mobile and TV devices that support Java technology. This distribution will occur through on-line stores that are managed by third-parties, such as cable operators and wireless service providers.

Can I enter the Java Warehouse Developer Portal from outside of the U.S.?

The Java Warehouse Developer Portal is available only in the United States and a selection of countries. Developers from outside the United States will not be charged a membership fee and will only be allowed to submit free applications at this time. More countries will be allowed access to the Java Warehouse Developer Portal in the near future.
