SYMPTOMS

While Java Runtime Environment (JRE) installation is in progress, a message box with the following error appears:

"Insufficient disk space on C:"

CAUSE

The installer requires about 98 megabytes of free disk space to expand in order to complete your JRE installation.
SOLUTION

Delete files that you do not need from your C: drive (or whichever drive you are installing to), to create sufficient free space for the JRE installation.
