Why I am unable to print coupons or shipping labels after updating Java?

This article applies to:
  • Java version(s): 7.0, 8.0

Print functionality has been reported not working with some Java versions. This may be due to security features introduced in recent Java versions.

Starting with Java 7 Update 51, changes in the security standards block Java applications that are unsigned, have self-signed certificates, or are missing permission attributes.

Inform the Application Developer

Contact the web site or developer of the application to let them know that the application is being blocked. The developer of the application will need to upgrade the application to meet new security standards implemented in Java.

WORKAROUND

The Exception Site List feature was introduced in Java 7 Update 51. Adding application URLs to the Exception list allows users to run Rich Internet Applications (RIAs) that would normally be blocked by security checks.
